ABOUT

Aravind Ragupathi was born in Madras, India. With an Emmy-nomination and dozens of festival wins, several feature films and independent productions to his credit, Aravind is a two-decade veteran cinematographer, lighting designer, producer and director, landing him in productions in Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, North Carolina and in his native land, India.

His portfolio includes narrative features, TV commercials, corporate storytelling, music videos and industrial videos. He is an eight-time Telly Award winning cinematographer / producer. This vast all-round experience in cinema has made him well rounded and given him invaluable experience as he continues to develop his cinematography vision and style. His work includes 35mm and digital acquisition along with pre-vis, mood boards / storyboarding. 

He has proven, impeccable organization skills: detailed lighting plots and visual storytelling, budget management and pre-productions planning. While allowing enough time for actors and content to shine, he closely collaborates with Production Designer, Sound, Make-up, Wardrobe technicians. He follows through with guidance to the Post Production team of Music Composers, Visual Effects Artists, Colorist and Editors.
